[Official]📶Maximize AI Render Performance: Custom Workflow Setup & Tips

Creating a custom workflow can be powerful — but also a bit tricky, especially when working with ComfyUI and advanced AI models. That’s why we’ve opened this thread, not just to provide guides and resources, but to give everyone a space to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and help each other grow stronger together.

This thread is for:

:white_check_mark: Learning how to build and modify your own custom workflows
:white_check_mark: Downloading and installing Reallusion’s custom nodes
:white_check_mark: Discussing advanced setups, cloud rendering, and AI models
:white_check_mark: Sharing your own workflows and seeing how others build theirs

:bulb:When sharing your workflows, please include Hugging Face links or sources for the models you used. This helps others test, learn, and improve more easily.

If you’ve created a custom setup, made tweaks to the pipeline, or integrated high-end models — we’d love to see it!

In the tutorial video below, we used Flux 1 Dev to demo the workflow

:blue_book: Step-by-Step Guide + Sample Workflow

With the step by step guide you will learn:

  • How Reallusion nodes interact with the UI in Character Creator and iClone

  • How to save your custom workflows as AI Render presets

  • How to reuse your favorite setups instantly inside the app

We’ve also included a Flux image-to-image sample workflow to help you get started quickly — you can use it as-is or modify it for your own projects.

:package: Where to Get the AI Render Custom Nodes

If you’re already working in ComfyUI and want to integrate AI Render into your workflow, you’ll need to install Reallusion’s custom nodes:

Where to Get Custom Nodes:

This is just the beginning — we know building custom workflows takes time and practice. To support you further, we’re planning a series of webinars and in-depth tutorials to walk through advanced setups, cloud integration, and best practices. We’ll release them as soon as they’re ready — stay tuned!

It’s guys like you who keep the community going…am going to try your workflow tonight…Big ups

I agree, but it will require some studying on my part to understand it all. I have done hardly anything with various AI models and my brain is quite old.

Ya…it’s going to take some tinkering to get this going - I think a basic understanding of comfy is essential to get this up and running. Hope someone puts out some videos on how to make and run custom workflows so that noobs like me can follow it to the T, lol

Hi all,

We now have cloud-GPU templates for AI Render on RunComfy & RunPod — making it easy to skip setup and run workflows directly in the cloud. They fully support our preset workflows, plus the Flux image and WAN video workflows coming in the webinars.

:bulb: Thanks to RunComfy, there are also special offers for Reallusion users (credits & subscription discounts).

:point_right: More details here: [Cloud-GPU Templates for AI Render — Powered by RunComfy & RunPod]

Thanks for this! testing this too when i get the chance! Also do you know where I might be able to find more info on installing this iclone AI plugin on top of an existing ComfyUI install - i really want to be able to avoid duplicating instances of comfyUI if possible!

EDIT - for anyone coming this way with the same question:
i found this:

Hi all,

Our second AI Render webinar is coming up on Aug 29, 2025 (PST/PDT)!

  • Batch rendering character images in iClone
  • Setting up and running FluxGym on RunPod

Hi all,

We’re excited to announce that an update to the AI Render plugin will be released on September 1! :tada:

  • Fully compatible with iClone 8.6, Character Creator 4.6, and the newly released Character Creator 5.

  • For users who prefer not to update iClone or CC yet, you can still update the AI Render plugin itself. Step-by-step instructions will be provided in the release note.

  • Includes fixes and enhancements to several critical functions for a smoother workflow.

:warning: Important Note: If you update to iClone 8.6 or CC 4.6 now, the current AI Render plugin will not be supported. Please wait for the September 1 release for full compatibility. If you already updated and need to roll back, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall the current version of iClone/Character Creator (via Hub).
  2. Reinstall iClone 8.54 / Character Creator 4.54 using the installers below.
  3. Run the patch in the original AI Render installer you installed before.
