FIrst of all, I wished we had a dedicated category for Omniverse as we had before. It would better emphasize the importance of this pipeline.

Anyway, after a long time I reinstalled Omniverse with the latest versions of the necessary components and I also updated iClone to the latest version. I could get LiveLink to work, but I am unable to transfer any character animation to Omniverse (using the Send Animation to Omniverse button). Transfering a prop animation works. I followed the instructions in one of the tutorials, but no luck. Anyone has any idea?

This is the tutorial I watched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN9xZcVfbw4.

Hmm. It seems there is not much interest in this topic… :frowning_with_open_mouth:

Sorry to hear you are having problems with Omniverse Live Sync.

Please contact Technical Support who will be able to advise you further.

We definitely should have a Sub Category/Category If Omniverse is in fact the Preferred Rendering system.

P.S. Latest Version of Iclone 8 is not transferring the Materials properly
Hair and Eyes via USD.
Character creator is transferring material but;
rendering via export USD from both Latest CC and Iclone I have no proper hair and eyes.

Edit: i might post my bug issues in separate thread later.

@animagic and @sungod a couple of questions. 1) Did either of you get your issue resolved. 2) What does Omniverse Launcher deprecation mean for iClone? I am just starting to render scenes outside of iClone, so new to Omniverse. If it’s use will be discontinued or converted to a pay system I may not invest the time in learning it.

The installer is depreciated and new Way of installation is introduced by Nvidia.
The official reason is for faster bug fixes.
I think currently you can work from default method.
I am a novice at this, I am getting three bugs in Iclone to Omniverse
And One bug from CC4 to Omniverse.
I did all this during my Windows 11 24H2 window update debacle where my overall system became unstable.
I had to reinstall Windows 11 24H2 from scratch.

Now the new Github Method is not working with Icone.
This may change in Future.

Also the current Bugs Maybe due to either me being Novice, or Icone and CC not being updated or Omniverse getting updated but not the Installer one.

So at the end my suggestion is
Follow the official Steps and Share your Results.
And hopefully someone Answers all these questions.

Thank you. Appreciate the info.
