With the launch of Headshot 3, we’ve received a lot of questions about which AI features are free and which require additional credits. Here’s a clear breakdown to help you understand how it all works.
What’s Free
Headshot 3’s core 3D head generation is completely free to use — no credits needed. This includes:
- Mesh Workflow — Generate a 3D head from mesh data at no cost.
- Image Workflow — Generate a 3D head from a 2D photo at no cost.
These workflows will never consume any credits.
What Requires AI Credits
The following features are powered by Nano Banana Pro and require credits per use:
- AI Image Generation — Generate front-facing images from text prompts.
- **AI Image Enhancement ** — Auto-correct expressions, lighting, angles, hair removal, and upscale resolution up to 4K.
- Side & Body Image Generation — Generate reference images for facial profiles and body proportions.
*Note: Each point costs $0.01

- Prelaunch Offer customers — 200 free Generations
- Early Bird customers — 100 free Generations
Each covers one generation at any resolution (including 4K) — it all counts as one generation. All free generations expire on September 30, 2026.
Why Use the Built-in AI Image Generator vs. Nano Banana Externally?
You might wonder: why not just use Nano Banana Pro on your own? There are two key advantages to using it within Headshot 3:
- Optimized for Headshot 3 — Our built-in AI Image Generator has been specifically fine-tuned for the Headshot 3 pipeline. You won’t need to spend time crafting lengthy prompts to get usable results. That said, AI generation is inherently unpredictable — you may not always get the perfect image on the first try.
- Up to 4K Resolution — Only our integrated Nano Banana Pro pipeline supports generating images at up to 4K resolution, giving you sharper source material for higher quality facial textures.
What Happens After Free Credits Run Out?
Once your free credits are used up, AI features will draw from your account balance in the following order:
- AI Free Image Generation (if available)
- Bonus Points
- DA Points
