The best way to avoid using deactivations is to uninstall from unwanted computers while connected to the internet. This frees up the seat without needing to deactivate. However, in the event that all 10 deactivations are used up, they can be reset by Support in genuine cases, but do try uninstalling whenever possible.

During the purchasing process it states you are purchasing an additional seat and this is confirmed on your receipt. If this wasn’t what you needed Support would have been able to help change/refund if notified straight away.

If a request for a refund is made within 14 days of purchase then yes this can be done. After 14 days it isn’t possible to refund a software purchase. Please Note: The 14 day refund policy only applies to software. Content purchases are non-refundable.

Sadly I can’t answer that for sure as it’s not my department, but I’m not aware of any major changes coming to the EULA. Support may be able to give you a more definitive answer though.
