That looks really impressive! So, the head/face shape is created automatically from the single image? That’s huge. And the texture quality seems also really nice. Kudos to the Dev Team.

I don’t own CC5 yet, but if I buy headshot 2 for CC4, will I still get headshot 3 for CC5?

So for the part where you can upload your own photo and then it cleans it up for you by removing shadows and hair, does that cost money to do? (Like the AI generations you mentioned)

Another question, for those of us waiting to upgrade from hs2 to hs3 will we get the 200 generations for free as well or is that only for new customers?

And I might as well ask while we’re here, if we do a prompt and it turns out garbage, does that cost us a generation or does it only charge us for prompts we decide to use (via confirming the generated character) because I can see plenty of generations being wasted on just tweaking a photo and it would make more sense for them to not cost us anything until we confirm we want to use the generated image to continue building the 3D model.

Also, I saw on the roadmap body gen, is that gonna be part of this, or is that gonna be a separate plugin?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am sure a lot of people are also wondering these things.

I have CC5 and HS2 already. If I upgrade on the 27th do I still get the bonus 100 generations or is it only 100 because it’s past the mentioned promotion window?

That offer is really only available to purchasers of HS2? I can’t lock in my upgrade before launch day so the only way I can take advantage of the promo in full is buying a second copy of headshot correct? HS2 $99/ HS3 upgrade $99

It sounds like a yes you will get upgraded automatically to HS3. Just remember you won’t be able to use it unless you have CC5.

Would be nice if you could answer the questions related to the pricing stuff. Is the only part that has ongoing pricing just the image generator? I guess that must be running as a cloud service or something? The actual mesh generation is infinitely free running on the local machine, or is that also a cloud service?

Also someone mentioned a question about what happens if you dont like the image it generated and you regenerate, does it keep taking more credits?

The 200 AI Image Generations only applies to the pre-launch offer. If you upgrade to Headshot 3 during the early bird pricing (from today until 31st May) you will receive 100 AI Image Generations.

Hi…

Once you have purchased the Headshot 3 Plug-in you are all set to go. No ongoing charges if you use your own source images. Purchasing credits for AI Image Generations is purely optional and not a requirement to use Headshot 3.

So the upgrade actually cost more than if you buy in new. As the new cost $100 and the upgrade is $100 but the upgrades gets you just 100 generation but the new license gives you 200. What am I missing here?

No that’s not correct. The upgrade is $99. The full price for new customers is $199 (Early Bird price $129). Both of these options only give 100 AI Image Generations. The 200 AI Image Generations was part of the pre-launch offer which has now ended.
