Daz3D Anime/Toon characters!

So I have seen some Anime/Toon characters now on Daz3D homepage, and I wonder if they can export and import into Cc4 as they are!

Hi…

Most Daz Genesis characters can be imported into CC4 using Transformer and converted to a Standard character. Alternatively when this isn’t possible, you can import as a Humanoid (Non-Standard) character.

Perhaps you can share a link to the Daz product page. This will help determine the best way to import the character into CC4.

Namely this one, a genesis 9.

Here is the link: Vicky 9 | Daz 3D

It’s pretty much a PITA to transfer DAZ G9 cartoon characters to CC (both as Standard and via Transformer).

Check this thread where I briefly describe how did it for Standard (via Transformer) and Humanoid

Also bear in mind that this “toon” Character in the promo is just a shape morph.
Those NPR materials are being rendered in Daz’s secondary toon engine called “Filament” with a Daz product called ‘Filatoon which use the Daz geoshell system .
So you won’t get that cartoon render look with Iclone/CC4

Here is something that I did a while back and testing with CC4 and did this, And I liked the result

The new Daz Anime base and the toon figures that use it has parts that are different from the G9 base - the eyes for sure and I think it was the eyebrows. The CC4 Transformer doesn’t see these new parts.

Instead of just putting one of the Daz Anime characters into the Daz scene, put the base G9 into the scene - the grey one with no morphs.
Find the morph sliders for the character that you want to use and apply. Sometimes you also need toapply the Base Anime Female or the Base Anime Male sliders as well.
Find the Skin you want to use and apply that.
Export that as an FBX and the CC4 Transformer will work.

Any chance for making a tutorial on that subject? I’m really bad at Blender.

If you could make a video for me, and that might help me so tremendous a lot.

Here is I made one for converting DAZ Gen 9 Toon Floating Iris to CC eyes and quick job fixing eye sockets. Tweaking caruncle is optional (you may move it outside of eye socket altogether or hide with opacity map if desired). Got to have some experience with Blender Edit/Sculpt modes. Sorry, no comments - just screencast.

You may also need to tweak eye movement blendshapes for perfection in CC Face Editor using Proportions mode.

Okay, then I’m going to watch this clip several times, so it sticks with me.
