WOW i got strike for making a POSITIVE YT review video on the upcoming RTX for IC and CC5( i dont even know univah)

Reallusion also got a strike for their promotion video. YT’s copyright system is completely broken. You are assumed guilty until you prove your innocence. This is one of the case where the use of AI is NOT helpful. YT is too lazy to do anything about it.

RL should really fight this also to protect any reviewers of its products. univah claims to be the only one to use RTX for rendering (or something like that) which is ridiculous.

There is some shady stuff going on in the background.

It’s looks like they want to sue Reallusion because iClone works similar to their software and they copyright strike all channels which upload Reallusion content which copies their style.

Hi Benny,

We are sorry to see that your channel has been caught up in this. Please rest assured that Reallusion owns 100% of the software and imagery in these videos. We have identified these claims as part of a malicious harassment campaign and are currently taking the necessary actions with YouTube to resolve this.

I will follow up with you via PM/email to provide further support and any documentation you may need to resolve this. Hang in there!

Best regards,
Hans

I would suggest flooding that YT video post with comments supporting RL.

she deleted the comments the best is to report the page in mass

iclone is over 20years old… what do u mean it looks like their software that same page is threatening to sue epic games and blender. what a JOKE. My problem is why is YouTube so inadequate

@animagic @bennydee I strongly suggest to ignore it. YouTube and Reallusion will handle it. It’s also very cryptic to what exactly is the problem. In another video there is a more detailed description of what apparently happened:

They will now have the opportunity to explain to a judge why a major software corporation felt it was appropriate to recreate nearly nude photography I took of myself—mimicking my lighting, my composition, and my personal creative expression—within their 3D software

You COPIED our photography and tried to recreate it in 3D

Like I said, better just ignore it.

Sad, but true. sometimes the wheel got invented a second time.
Going to court is a normal thing and happens all the time. Uncomfortable, sometimes with severe results for potentional everyone involved.
That’s how things work professionally.
This video is so NOT professional.
It is almost 20 minutes of an emotional rant, just like some YT troll.
This video is trying to make me pick a side and it worked.
I will not spend my money on a software, that I’ve never heard of and where the representers of the software behave like some adolescent YT bully.

Oh man I love me some drama. I skimmed through the video, agree it’s just an emotional rant. Also they are calling their engine “next gen” and saying RL and Unreal are going to fall behind the curve while their engine is “modern”. Univah looks like absolute garbage though from their own showcase videos… The UI is awful. The rendering is awful, and according to their website it’s using OpenGL… which is outdated and anything but modern.

Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing inherently wrong with OpenGL, but it’s not what I would choose for a “film engine”. What a joke. This is a very unserious person or they’re just incredibly delusional.

On YT ANYONE can make a claim without YT interferring , this even what their rules say. I read through that very carefully because i was going to make a claim on my own copyrighted stuff once.

Any comment praising the owner of that page is from fake accounts i seen the accounts are bot . those accounts don’t have posts or history.

Univah, is that something state of the art? There was a Siggraph demonstration? It said to be better than Pixar and it’s their most favorite tool now? Crazy I never heard of it.
