Totally Killing it, man!
Thanks!
I finished working on her face.
I made my own wetness mesh and used my own eyeball asset to replace the default CC5 ones. I also used Ornatrix for her vellum hair (peach fuzz). Her makeup masks were painted in Substance. I used default V-Ray materials and blended them together with the base skin to separate the optical properties of the skin and makeup – preventing the skin shader from also having to calculate the sub-surface scattering of the makeup, and also making my life easier.
One last batch of render tests before I finally work on her hair. After that I will be rigging the rest of her body.
I was originally going to give her blonde hair to seamlessly integrate with the golden metallic “feathers” on her helmet. But auburn hair actually works really well. I think I’ll keep this hair color on her. ![]()
Wow! Love the composition and the camera angle! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the renders!
Thanks dude! I appreciate it.
My second beauty shot to be submitted this weekend. A very simple composition with simple lighting. The mood and atmosphere sells the shot.
Third beauty shot for my submission this Saturday. The challenge here was getting the subtleties of the pose right as well as the dynamic elements like the hair and particle effects.
The deadline is closing, and there isn’t any time to do a full scenery. So I opted for a studio-style photoshoot to show off her armor.
Entry submitted. Good luck to everyone, and thank you to Reallusion for this opportunity once again!
Updated her portrait to a different camera angle, to show off the scar on her right cheek.
The submission is done, but I keep working on her since she’s meant to be for my portfolio after all.
Although, this WILL be the last update render I’ll post on this thread.
Thanks everyone! It’s been great!
looks fantastic! love you hard surface work!
