[WIP] 2026 Reallusion 3D Character Contest - The Royal Enforcer

“He is the last of his kind—trapped between the dawn he serves and the dusk that hungers for him. His cross burns with the final spark of heaven in a fallen world, but that fire feeds on its keeper. Each time he wields the light, a piece of him turns to shadow, inching him closer to the very monster he swore to slay.”

So hello again! Ive decided to change my original plan of making a stylized character and instead work on a different idea I had in mind. Its name is the “Royal Enforcer”, and given the description ive provided, its going to be a gothic knight. Frankly ive never made a character this complex before, but its really fun to challenge myself from time to time with these projects

Ive generated some visual ideas on what the character will look like. Due to some tiny inaccuracies in some parts of the image, certain aspects might be changed to match the realism and vibe of the character

There has been a bit of posting hiatus, but behind the scenes, I’m constantly working on the character.

I started by using the default male base from CC5 and adjust its proportions in Blender as im more comfortable working with it. Given that the character will be completely covered in armor, The human inside doesnt need to have a lot of changes done to it other than proportion adjustments.

Then I started the work on the foot and leg armor.

Afterwards, I made a blockout of the pants for future references.

Then I continued the progress by creating the base armor on the torso. Most of its emblems and details come later down the pipeline. However, Key elements (Such as plates and belt) are modelled during this phase.

Im back again to update you all about my character. As of right now, 90% of the model has been made and the only part left is the Glove. Afterwards I will finally rig the character and wrap it up for this contest

So lets see the progress.
First and foremost, Royal Enforcer finally has capes! Its 4 layers of cubes that have been shifted around to mimic cloth folding and creaking, combined with a stylized procedural texture to recreate the original cape’s textures. While not perfect, it is certainly a great implementation

2 | Chestplate Cross Emblem

Next is the top end of Royal Enforcer, where it was still in the works, now sits a almost finalized design for him. The designs include various things, such as :
Stylized Cross symbol on the chestplate and being held by said chestplate

However theres still some parts that arent completed yet, primarily the chains that hold the cross and cape together which will eventually be done.
