why do i now have the iclone 8 logo on my screen blocking my screen?

how do i remove this? i have never seen this there before

Hi…

Do you mean a watermark in the viewport or a splash screen window in front of the viewport?

If it is a splash screen there should be an X in the corner. Just click that to close it.

If it is a watermark, then this is visible when you are using trial content, or purchased content that hasn’t yet been activated. In this case, try going to Help > Activate Purchased Items on the Menu bar, and this should remove the watermark.

I have noticed this too - you cannot see the Windows taskbar when working in the HUB or IC or CC. is that deliberate?

getting back to you late. i did a reinstall because i tried to do it your way. neither way worked. i went to sleep and then it disappeared when i restarted the computer the 2nd time. i came back from vacation and im now using my home pc instead of the laptop. i have all the projects on a 20tb external hard drive so i connected the hard drive to the main pc at home and the watermark is back and i did everything from activating the entire library and purchased items but it still wont go away. annoying to spend this amount of money to have these glitches. how do i resolve this…

Thanks for supplying further information.

Generally using external hard drives are fine, but work best when permanently attached. This is because Smart Content Manager keeps a database of your installed and activated content. However, if the drive is removed the database is no longer correct and can lead to it becoming corrupt.

In this case you may need to rebuild the database. To do this, please follow Step 2 on the FAQ page HERE.

However, if the problem persists after resetting the database, please contact Technical Support using the form HERE.

Please Note: Do ensure that you are logged into the same/correct account on both your laptop and home PC. If the accounts are different you will encounter watermarks. Also, do check that you have the correct two computers activated in your Reallusion account. You can check this by going to your registration page HERE and then clicking “Details” in the Activated Seats column for iClone.

You should be able to see the Task Bar when using the Hub or iClone/CC. Try clicking the Maximize button at the top right once or twice which normally makes it display correctly above the Task Bar.
