I’m thinking it means just the ones that come with CC, but I’m trying to figure out how to identify those within Character Creator’s “CONTENT” panel.
There are various icons on the clothing things I have (a squiggly like, an “05” with a shirt icon) but when I roll over them it doesn’t explain them, and I can’t find what they mean.
By the way, I’m trying to now use the ‘embedded clothing templates’ and adjust them in a DCC, because my other way (importing marvelous designer clothing) doesn’t work because the skin weight painting is always really wrong. I’ve followed all the official videos but “smooth” doesn’t seem to work. If anyone has a link for an awesome tutorial to fix this, I’d appreciate it:
I really wish there was a “copy skin weights” function Like, I want to just choose a pair of pants, then tell Character Creator to match the skin weights.
For the clothing templates, look under Pack>Free Resourc3es>Stylings"
The cloth weighting is actually exactly as you hope for. You can choose a preset or any existing clothing item for the transfer skin weights. Select File and choose one you want to use to transfer the weights from.
This is incredibly helpful Rampa! Thank you so much for taking the time!
I’ve been using the lateral partitioning, but I must be doing something wrong. I carefully selected the left side vertices and pressed left, then the same for the right, but the result is the same. I’ll try to make a video to show and I’ll check out the stylings! Thanks!
Just to clarify. Pants should be simulated on a character with legs slightly apart.
I have a pose here: [help] Skin Weights
There I also have a tut for importing baggy, high density pants (needed Blender help).
Yours is a lot easier as they are tight and mesh is not dense.
So fitting them in CC would be just fine.
Quick fit:
Thank you so so much 4u2ges!! It’s Sunday here and I have to do family stuff but later today I will sit down and study this and try to get my marvelous designer pants working lol. Thanks again!
