How can I take say, a simple ball and make a prop out of it? it should be easy, right?
Hi…
All you need to do is select File > Import and choose the FBX or OBJ of the prop you want to import. Once imported you can resize as required.
Then to save it as a Prop, just click Save in Content Manager and it should be automatically detected as a Prop. If it is, just click OK and it will be saved in your custom Prop library.
Please Note: CC4 also comes with a large number of customizable Props. You can find them in Content Manager under Props > 3D Blocks. These can be resized, reshaped and combined together to create almost any type of prop you can think of.
what is the obj or fbx, i want to use a jpg. thank you.
Jpg is 2D picture, but you use a 3D application.
Technically, if you have no idea about 3D modeling, you can convert your 2D picture to a 3D object via an online AI 3D mesh generation service or open source AI models like TripoSR, Hunyuan3D or Trellis.
Otherwise you need to go the “hard” way and model your 3D object in tools like Blender, but that’s a very complex and professional tool.
Alternatively, there are very easy-to-understand and beginner friendly modeling applications like Dust3D or MagicaVoxel.
Are you using Character Creator 4 (3D) or Cartoon Animator 5 (2D)?
iclone and character creator.
