Well its July any CC5 updates?

Hi… You don’t need to have CC4 to purchase CC5. You will be able to purchase it on the day of release without needing any previous versions.

New content is coming for CC5 but sadly I can’t reveal just yet what goodies will be available.

Exciting! Thank you for letting us know. I’ll make sure to save a little extra for those!

Hi, thanks for the answer. I got CC5 for free as part of the bundle, so does it mean it’s just a matter of waiting for it to be fully released? I am asking because I don’t see it anywhere in the Reallusion hub yet.

Yes, we need to wait. It’s not released yet.

Don’t drag this out, its July!

Do you honestly think we are sitting on a completed and fully tested Character Creator 5 but not releasing it just to drag things out?

I can assure you as soon as CC5 is ready for release it will be. Hopefully that won’t be too long now, but there is still a little more to do to bring everything together for the official launch.

I’d like to think that was an attempt at sarcasm, but who knows. Lol.

I am waiting patiently as well, but I also say, please take your time and get it right. I am fine using CC4 at the moment, as even if I get CC5 (I have a lic in my order history), but will not use it in a ongoing project until I have time to test it anyway.

So, Reallusion, I say “Take your time and get it right”. Don’t rush on anyone’s account. I look forward to it’s release and what the new features will do, but I am very patient regarding it’s release.

Hi Everyone

Sadly I have to report that the release of Character Creator 5 has unfortunately been delayed until August 27th. We know this will cause disappointment, but the development team needs a little longer to get CC5 finished and fully tested.

We do apologise for the disappointment this delay will have caused, but for now here is the official release preview which I hope shows the wait will be worth it.

Well, it is for me—then again, I’m in no particular hurry. The preview does look good, though.

Since I’ll probably not be using CC5 to create characters from “scratch”—I may have the tools, but lack the artistic streak—I’d be most interested to see how CC5 “upgrades” older characters (i.e. ones I already “own”), or whether I would have to wait until the respective creators update their legacy content (if and when they do).

Looking at the product page it would appear that those only want to upgrade their CC4 to CC5 on release don’t have any special deals on the pre-launch offers such as the Actor mixer pro plugin.

Looks great! I was anxious for a release this month but if you need more time to perfect it then so be it. Can’t wait, thank you for the update!

Hype level over 9000, that looks fantastic!

In my experience it’s never a bad decision to push the release of an anticipated software. It’s way better to be frustrated by the waiting than being frustrated by a bugged software released too soon.
Take the time it needs guys, keep up the good work.
And thank you for the Actor Mixer gift

there’s nothing worse than buggy software that is rushed out to meet a deadline. I’d much rather just wait until it’s ready.

Speaking of buggy, the stability of this forum is really bad compared to the old one. All the ‘failed server’ errors when trying to post, takes several attempts, have to copy & paste the message and keep trying to repost. I’ve sometimes just given up

Hi Gerry

For all CC4 owners who just want to upgrade to CC5 when it releases, there will be discounted pricing to upgrade to CC5 and ActorMixer Pro. You won’t have to pay the full price. The current upgrade prices are shown below.

Please Note: Bundle deals (CC5+ActorMixer Pro) and other special offers will be announced at the time of release.
