Weird facial displacement when testing expressions

Hi, when I was testing the “Range of Expression” on a character in CC5, I encountered a weird issue: the facial features were distorted. I started with the _HD Neutral M. I don’t know if it’s caused by the morphs I used. I have a file of the same character before using “Skin” and adding clothes, and in that file there is no problem.
Can someone please tell me if there is a known way to solve this?
CC5_FacialDistortion

Hi,

I tried to reproduce this issue with the _HD Neutral M character but was unable to see any distortion when testing the “Range of Expression.”

Could you provide the exact steps or recording you took until the distortion occurs?

Providing the problematic CC project file would also be very helpful. You can send it to my email at alanyang@reallusion.com so I can take a closer look and try to find a solution.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for your time and offering to help, I will send a message. The issue appears after I activate the Skin Editor and get this question: “You have changed material or texture settings in the Modify panel, do you want to keep the modified result?”. Clicking “Yes” or “No” results in the distortion, also adding wrinkles on the body. The issue is avoided by clicking “Cancel”. I also found out it’s triggered by blinking.

Fix: Menu - Character - Correct Eyeblink.
This solved my issue. I mentioned in case it might turn out to be a solution for someone else.

Thank you, Alan!
