After intially having some good results with the video mocap plugin, about two months ago I ran into a problem with it after queuing nine tasks. Four of them failed and the opton to retry them was greyed out. In addition to that, the “Generate Motion” button is greyed out for any new video I add to the plugin.
I did contact Reallusion’s support who eventually refunded the 1000 DA points that were used on the failed tasks but I’ve not heard anything about fixing the actual problem and the response I had this morning (basically the points were refunded, this case is closed) after proding them after 10 days of silence, I decided to post about it here to see if anyone else is having the same problem.
These are the things I have checked and tried:
- iClone and the plugin are both fully up to date, iClone is 8.71 and the plugin is 1.02.
- I have uninstalled and reinstalled both iClone and the plugin with no effect
- Deleting videos from the plugin makes no difference
- I am unable to delete the four videos with the “Error” status, these are the ones that caused the problem before and when this greyed out button problem started. Delete and Rename functions are all greyed out on those videos.
- Adding new videos to the plugin makes no difference, I can trim them but cannot generate motion
- Applying motion from any of the videos listed as “Applicable” does work
I had hoped to use this plugin for a commissioned project where my client provided some video to draw motion capture data from but the deadline for it has now passed so I am quite irritated by the lack of helpful response from Reallusion.
