I used Headshot2 to create a base shape of an alien character. I sculpted details in ZBrush using GoZ Plus. Eyelashes got mingled up in this process. I used Blender Data Link (2.2.4) of Character Creator to send the character to Blender (Blender version 4.3.2, IC/CC Link version 2.2.5) and fixed the eyelashes. I used the Mesh button to send the edited body mesh back to Character Creator, after fixing eyelashes and adjusting the nose. It appeared that everything worked in Character Creator. The wireframe display of the character mesh was correct. I saved the file and then reopened it. The wireframe display showed that the vertex order or the vertex group had been corrupted. The vertex location and character textures looked good, but the vertex order changed after reopening the file, which had previously been edited with Data Link. If I send the character from Blender into Character Creator, into a new scene with the Go CC button, there is no vertex order corruption. It happens only when I send the character back using the Mesh button to update only the edited part of the character body, such as eyelashes and head. The vertex order corruption shows only after closing and reopening the Character Creator scene.
