Unable to export character to neither iClone or FBX

I have a CC3+ character with a CC4 extended facial profile in my scene. I previously exported the character to unreal in CC 4.5.4 without issue; I’ve upgraded to CC5 and the same project now refuses to export via FBX in any way; “Send to iClone” function is ignored; File → Export → FBX using UE 5 skeleton is ignored; I’ve attached the FBX settings for the export to unreal. OBJ export works fine

Hi… I have had this problem also (similar I think) this happened to all my custom characters at one point… what I did to fix (workaround) is to create sliders for head and body and save out a material plus of them and then load the HD cc5 neutral character and apply those sliders and bake them and then apply the material plus to it… this fix also helps with the new eyes… before they would get distorted… after all done try to export again.

Thank you for the help. I really have so much to do your steps appear rather complicated, but thanks for replying. I really regret I even upgraded -it’s just full of bugs and now it’s stopped my work.

CC5 should never have been released and I would’ve waited even longer to get a stable product over all the “exciting” new features when the core product is buggy and parts no longer work. It’s extremely poor and quite disappointing. I will not be making the upgrade mistake again.

I understand the frustration man… even will all these issues… i still think it was worth… sure i lost about 2 days of trying to figure out the bugs and how to fix them :slight_smile: but hey… KKKK :slight_smile:
