Hi Reallusion,
I’m experiencing an issue with facial animation when transferring from iClone to Unreal Engine 5.7 using Live Link.
Versions
- Unreal Engine 5.7
- Character Creator 5
- iClone 8
- Auto Setup 2.02 all in one
- Latest Live Link plugin in iclone (updated reallusion hub)
The facial animation looks correct inside iClone, but after transferring through Live Link it no longer matches the original performance.
I’ve tested both:
- Transfer Scene + Motion
- Transfer Motion Only
Both produce the same result.
For testing, I created a facial performance using Digital Soul expressions blended with other presets (Angry → Look Left → Annoyed). Inside iClone the animation behaves as expected, but once transferred to Unreal the facial performance changes noticeably. The eye direction appears incorrect, and the facial expressions no longer match what was authored in iClone.
The body animation transfers correctly, so the issue appears to be isolated to the facial animation.
Has anyone else experienced this with UE 5.7? Is this a known issue with Live Link facial curves, eye animation, or the current Auto Setup/Live Link pipeline?
I’m happy to provide a sample project or a side-by-side screen recording comparing the iClone viewport and Unreal viewport if that would help reproduce the issue.
Thanks!
