Trimming animation clips?

I absolutely love iClone 8 but one thing that I really wish it had (if it does in some way then let me know) is the ability to trim animation clips on the front and back end. For example, let’s say that I have a mocap animation of someone standing up, turning and walking away but I just want to use the part of the animation where they are turning and not the standing up or walking away. It’d be great to simply be able to grab the ends of the animation clip and trim off the sections at the beginning and end that I don’t want and just keep the middle section of the mocap clip that I need.

I know that I can use the “collect clip” and grab a certain section of animation and make a new animation file from that, but that becomes kinda tedious when you are needing to use specific sections of several animation clips.

The ability to trim motion clips would really help a lot. Are there any plans to implement something like that?

You can do that already. In the time line make a cut (Non-destructive Break) into the clip to mark the beginning and another cut to mark the end.

You can now the delete the portions you don’t want and move the clip to a new position:

Because the breaks are non-destructive, you can make adjustments afterwards with the Resize Clip option as I do here for the beginning:

Thank you! I figured that there had to be a way to do it. Much appreciated!
