There is a critical issue with mouth movements during facial capture for CC5 characters in UE5



As shown in the figure, the characters exported from CC 5.05 exhibit an abnormal and overly exaggerated mouth shape during facial capture. However, the facial expressions preview normally in CC, and the expressions in the controller panel of UE5 also work fine. The issue only occurs during facial capture. Notably, characters exported from versions prior to CC 5.04 functioned properly without such a problem, and the root cause remains unclear.

I encountered this problem too. I thought it was an Unreal Engine (UE) issue, but no matter how I tested it, it just wouldn’t work.

This issue with exaggerated mouth shapes during facial capture has been identified and resolved in the latest update.

Please update your Character Creator to version 5.06, and the facial capture should function correctly.
