The pop-up window needs to be closed every time the main system starts up. A “don’t remind me again” option should be added, otherwise the startup process is very slow every time.
agreed, can we have the option to get rid of the advertising every time we start either iClone or Character Creator please? It’s annoying!
Are you using the trial version or a version not yet updated to version 8.72?
I ask because when you update to iClone 8.72 you will then be met with the screen below which allows you to launch into the traditional iClone 3D experience or go straight into AI Studio. This screen also allows you the option of not displaying it in the future (shown in the red box).
There is also this one that pops up which they might mean. Can’t get rid of that one in reallusion hub and iclone every time loading it up. No option to select don’t show this again
@Pete_RL
I updated to the latest version from the RL Hub, definitely not the trial version.
I could get rid of that screen, it’s the ‘What’s New’ screen on both iClone and Character Creator that does give me the option to ‘Don’t Show Again’
I close the screen each time, but it reappears every time I restart the software.
Hi…
Thanks for the additional feedback.
Have you clicked on the button marked Start Now (or Learn More). This should stop the panel reappearing each time. Certainly once you have AI Studio set up you should not be seeing these advertising messages in iClone/CC.
However, if you continue to get these messages after updating and setting up AI Studio, then please contact Reallusion Support and they will check what the issue is.
@Pete_RL
Yes I have clicked the ‘learn more’ button several times and the screen still appears.
I hope this pushy sales approach to subscription based products in particular is not the new direction RL is headed… I’m not interested at all in the AI Studio or the other subscription based products. We shouldn’t be forced to click ‘learn more’ or ‘start now’ for products we are not interested in.
I will contact RL Support, but must admit I am annoyed that I need to go to the trouble of submitting a request to support to get rid of ‘in your face’ advertising on products (iClone and Character Creator) that I have paid good money for. I hope RL reconsiders this style of aggressive marketing.
I’m still having the screen too, both CC5 and Iclone 8
