Does the FBX export process from CC5 to UE (detailed in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-o8hT175bHI) optimize for game ready? My CC5 characters are already using SubD 0 (not even the suggested 1 and def not 2)
Wow…so my character’s poly/triangle count in CC5 is 62,763; when I use the steps in the aforementioned yt tut, in UE the triangle count is the EXACT SAME - I’m literally amazed. The process does not optimize characters AT ALL. Not even a hair trigger.

You can choose to “Convert to Game Base” or use the Optimise and Decimate features in CC5 before export. Obviously using these options will mean you no longer have a true HD character, but that is the trade off if you want low poly game ready characters.
