No disappointment here
If anything it debunks the conspiracies about Reallusion secretly using external render engines for their official Iclone promo vids and confirms my suspicions that alot of the complaints can be attributed to lack of user knowledge.

That’s absolutely true. Although I must admit that some render attributes which are given for granted in “other” render engines, might take a lot of effort and creativity to reproduce in iClone.
And vise versa BTW.

Thanks for the comments and encourging words, guys. Yeah, the final render was in iClone8 sent to an .exr sequence. Some post-production was done in Premiere using Lumetri. Lighting is a pretty basic three point system borrowing from Rembrandt portraits. The HDRI makes all the difference.

Doesn’t look anything special to me. You would get better results with recording the face with iclone. All micro movemens around the lips are missing and eyes looks lifeless
