Transferring my project to 5.5 and saw a note in the shaders that they’re using the beta substrate feature? Is that true? And if so, what’s the benefit? I just put my older shaders back in for now but not sure if I’m missing some improvements by doing that.
The substrate material system will be the standard in UE5 updates , the one you are using now and in older versions will be replaced in future versions.
The old system will be still useable with a converter node.
