🔦 Showcase Spotlight: Digital Double from Photos: PhiBix's Photorealistic Workflow with CC5 and Headshot 3.1

Hi everyone,

Today I want to share a tutorial showcase from PhiBix, walking through his full photo-to-3D pipeline for a photorealistic aged digital human, built inside Character Creator 5 and Headshot 3.1, with support from AI Studio, SkinGen, Edit Mesh, and Photoshop. It’s a great look at how far the CC5 + Headshot 3.1 stack can carry a likeness before you need anything external, and how PhiBix handles the coverage gaps when you do.

:point_right: Who’s behind this?

PhiBix is a digital-double specialist at RL-FRANCE, a multimedia production company on the Champs-Elysees in Paris that builds photorealistic doubles for trailers, commercials, music videos, and films, usually as a white-label partner for professional clients. He has created more than 250 commissioned hyperrealistic celebrity doubles, and also works as a trainer and technical consultant for schools and companies developing character-production skills. He has used Character Creator since its earliest versions.

:point_right: What’s the workflow about?

  • Standardize the reference photo (neutralize expression, remove hair, flatten lighting) and generate the frontal, profile, and body base in Headshot 3.1
  • Align the mesh to the reference with the Vector tool on both frontal and profile, then refine the head with CC5 morph controls
  • Generate a four-view source set (front, both profiles, back) and project texture using Stencil & Clone with matched camera angle and focal length
  • Repair coverage gaps behind the ears, on the scalp, and under the chin using Photoshop for the diffuse and normal maps
  • Generate a missing under-chin view inside AI Studio with Nano Banana Pro, then project it back onto the character
  • Detail eyes, skin, and body with SkinGen, sculpt the expression, and use Edit Mesh for final cloth-and-collar cleanup before a 360-degree validation pass
