Hey everyone!
I’d like to share a Showcase Spotlight featuring a stylized celebrity-caricature workflow that takes a real-world reference of Arnold Schwarzenegger and turns it into a dramatic 3D character using Character Creator 5 (CC5), ActorMIXER, and Blender.
Who’s behind this?
This showcase was created by Peter Alexander, who demonstrates how to leverage Character Creator 5’s ActorMIXER and a Blender pipeline to craft unique stylized caricatures. In the article, Peter walks through his process of combining AI reference generation, CC5 character foundation, ActorMIXER blending, and Blender sculpting to achieve a recognizable yet exaggerated 3D likeness.
What’s the workflow about?
- Uses AI tools to generate clean 3D reference meshes as starting input for the caricature process.
- Imports and generates a base character in CC5 using Headshot 2.0 to convert reference into a working mesh.
- Applies ActorMIXER & Caricature MIXER Pack to shape exaggerated facial and body features.
- Refines and sculpts silhouette and details in Blender (with CC Auto Setup and DataLink) and syncs back to CC5.
- Adjusts clothing fit via Blender sculpting and finalizes expressions, lighting, and presentation.
This article showcases an efficient caricature creation pipeline that blends generated references, CC5 morph systems, and Blender sculpting for stylized character design.
