Hi everyone,
Today I want to share a showcase featuring a solo 3D director’s hybrid pipeline case study, where he reinterpreted the elevator scene from Revolver entirely on his own. The whole thing runs on Character Creator 5, iClone, and Blender (via Blender Auto Setup + Data Link), and I think it’s a great look at what one artist can pull off with the right pipeline.
Who’s behind this?
Ateş Savaşeri is a 3D artist and director based in Muğla, Turkey, working primarily for the advertising industry. A graduate of Ankara University’s Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, he began his career in Istanbul as a film editor before expanding into cinematography, animation, and directing. Alongside commercial work, he writes and produces personal projects exploring nature, environmental issues, and the relationship between people and the systems they live within. He produces most of his work from a small home animation studio on Turkey’s southern coast.
What’s the workflow about?
- Build character identity, topology, hair, clothing, and facial system in CC5
- Generate the hotel lobby crowd via CC5 ActorMIXER
- Capture body motion and lip sync with iClone Video Mocap + AccuLIPS
- Layer facial performance using iClone Face Puppet → Face Key
- Bridge character into Blender through Blender Auto Setup + Data Link
- Finalize lighting, camera, hair, cloth, and render natively in Blender
