Imported hair from Daz via transformer and a round trip through blender removed the conforming properties.
After importing on the character, I converted the hair to an accessory (still fits right), then exported it as an FBX from CC4 to blender and added child bones. I didn’t touch anything else, then re-imported it.
I can attach it to the head bone, but the mesh is now about 10% smaller than what I exported and the scalp cap does not fit anymore.
Has anyone worked with this problem before successfully?
I wanted to keep this as a cc3+ character, which is why I need the bones on the hair vs the whole character which makes it a humanoid.
EDIT: Trying the blender pipeline, not sure why I didn’t consider that first. I blame ChatGPT.
