Request a ship

requesting that someone make me a ship that i always wanted.

You are “requesting”? How about politely asking? Or offering to pay someone for creating something you always wanted, but couldn’t or wouldn’t make yourself?

Besides: this is the Reallusion forum and not one specialized in modelling objects (rather than characters), so good luck with that.

really? I thought that was pretty much clear. but hey, thank you for letting me know that your not qualified to make this.

If you have more photos from different angles you could try to recreate it with Microsoft Trellis, like I did (you’ll need an RTX 3090 or 4090 for this if you don’t want to wait hours for it to finish). This might be good enough for a background asset or as a base mesh you can use in a modeling application.

I used both pictures, removed the background, and this 3D model was created.

For example, you can open the GLB file in Paint 3D. As you can see, certain parts are missing or hallucinated, because the two photos are likely not enough.

Here is a second test. This one looks a little bit better. No floating, hallucinated part. But it still has holes on the bottom side because the area is not visible on the images.

Hey thanks! this looks pretty damn good. I’ll give that a big try. thank you for the positive feedback my friend.

I tried it again with Hunyuan 3D. There is portable version available at GitHub - YanWenKun/Hunyuan3D-2-WinPortable: 📦A portable package for running Hunyuan3D-2 on Windows. | 混元 3D 2.0 整合包 and the newest download link can be found here Release 2025/05/29 · YanWenKun/Hunyuan3D-2-WinPortable · GitHub

This 3D generator works with less VRAM. It didn’t take more than 8 GB VRAM in my tests. The disadvantage is that it only works with a single image and if you want to use multiple images they need to be from the front, back, left and right. So, if you have a more affordable Nvidia GPU this might be a good tool for you.

This is the image I used:

And this is the result I got:
Ship_test3

Since the front isn’t visible on the image, its look was imagined by the AI model.

Here is the file:

damn. that looks just as good. thanks. question. is this a 3D model in which i can import into 3d exchange or CC4 to make it a prop? or do i need to dance?

The texture is very low resolution :weary:

you will have to import the file into Blender and re-save it as an .obj or FBX to get it into Iclone.

Yes, the texture is low quality.

But I found out that the newest version of StableProjectorz now supports both Trellis and Hunyuan 3D 2.0. So you can install these tools very easily (no Python knowledge necessary) and create a 3D model, then a higher resolution texture and project it on your model.
