Regarding video file playback in AccuFACE 2

Regarding video file playback in AccuFACE 2:
I created an MP4 file (1280x720, approx. 52 seconds) using a motion intended for CC5 facial verification (RTX 4090, driver 610.62).
When I open the file in AccuFACE 2 and press the play button, playback sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t.
Statistically, it fails to play about 70% of the time; reloading the file allows it to play in about 30% of cases.
The video plays without issues in standard media players. This problem did not occur with AccuFACE 1.

Scrubbing the timeline often results in no movement, or if it does move, the playback is choppy and skips frames.
When playback works correctly, scrubbing is slightly choppy but displays the image at the stopped position; however, when playback fails,
scrubbing produces no movement, or if it moves slightly, releasing the mouse causes the display to revert to the first frame.

While the file is open (specifically while the video is still loading), scrubbing results in very smooth movement.
It also moves smoothly when scrubbing before pressing the play button. However, once the play button is pressed, the screen becomes slightly
brighter, the image switches to the first frame, and scrubbing no longer produces any movement.

In short, the performance is unstable.

Hi…

Thank you for the feedback.

As the video sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t I would advice reporting your issues in the Feedback Tracker.

The tracker is monitored directly by the dev teams so this is the best way to get unusual issues like this looked at.

Please provide the link to the video in the FT so it can be tested. Thanks.

Hi su-ha,

Could you please send us the video file you loaded into AccuFace 2? In your screen recording, AccuFace 2 appears to pause for a while when you scrub through the video after opening it. We’d like to check the file.

We also noticed that your character wasn’t moving in the viewport of the Motion Live. Is that another issue you’re asking about? If so, please try clicking Preview or Record to see the character move.

Thanks!
