Putting my face on to a ready made actor

while I am still ill, i need something to keep my mind busy… so what I would like to know is… can i take a photo of my face(not head) and put it on to a ready made actor from animator 5?that should keep me busy :rofl: thankyou to anyone that can help! regards vicki

You have posted this in the Character Creator forum. Is your question related to Cartoon Animator 5 (2D) or Character Creator 5 (3D)?

Thanks for clarifying your question is for Cartoon Animator 5.

Although it is now a legacy feature, you can still create a head from a photo in CTA5.

To do this try the following:

  1. Load a G3 character.
  2. Take the character into Composer mode (top left side toolbar)
  3. Select the Head bone.
  4. From the Menu Bar select FaceEditor > Create Head > Create Morph-Based Head
  5. Now follow the onscreen steps to create a head from a photo.
  6. Once complete, resize the new head and position it to fit the body of your G3 character.
  7. Finally return to Stage mode to animate your character.
