Putting AI Studio to the REAL TEST!

Over the past 6 weeks I have been working day and night testing, retesting, rendering and producing the first episode of a web series entitled, “Her Comes Felicia”. I decided from the very first frame to use AI Studio just to see if it would REALLY make a difference in my project.

After more than 120 hours of testing I must admit that this tool most certainly makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Being able to use iClone to setup scenes, character poses and complex motion is most def… a GAME CHANGER. I love this tool and will continue to use it in all my future productions for sure… but… I have but one complaint. PRICING!

I understand Reallusion needs to make money, but the reality is this. $2.75 for a 5 second render that you “HOPE” is going to turn out right is just too much and I am on the PRO plan that provides me with the lowest cost per credit. So I can only image what those who are on the starter and standard subscriptions are paying. Sometimes I feel like I’m on a slot machine in LAs Vegas rolling dice. Sometimes you hit and win, but more often… you do not. Either way… money gone.

(JUST KEEPING IT REAL)

I use up my monthly credits long before they renew just because I must, but render in Seedance and Kling (my favorite two models) for half the price on “other” platforms.

I love Reallusion and Iclone. Have been using the product for more than 16 years. I love this new AI integration. It’s Awesome but…

Allow me to speak directly to the marketing team. You are charging too much and anyone who uses AI technology for production work knows this. Imagine the audience you could draw in if you took this awesome production workflow and added AI rendering at a competitive price?

There are thousands of marketing professionals and 3D animation artist that would come running to AI studios. Volume my friends… More customers means more sales all the way around in the content marketplace, accupose, and all the other products and software you offer.

OK… now that I’ve got that out.

Episode One is complete. The link to the Youtube video can be found below and this is what I’ve learned:

MY TOP TAKEAWAYS

The most important discoveries were not individual tools.
They were process discoveries.

  1. Frame Standardization Was the Breakthrough. This may be the most important lesson I learned.

The transition problems were not:
• Kling
• Wan
• LTX

They were:
:exclamation: Inconsistent frame dimensions and framing.

:lock: FRAME STANDARDIZATION RULE
All start and end frames must:
• Match resolution
• Match framing
• Match camera position baseline
• Match aspect ratio before entering generation.

  1. AI Is a Rendering Engine

Posing and Complex motion belongs to:
:white_check_mark: iClone

AI belongs to:
:white_check_mark: Rendering :white_check_mark: Detail :white_check_mark: Photorealism

  1. Kling O3 Std Emerged As The Utility Tool

This Confirms four verified use cases:

:white_check_mark: Video face replacement
:white_check_mark: Object removal
:white_check_mark: Photorealism enhancement
:white_check_mark: Sensitive-content rendering… (In my case the scenes where a gun is present in the scene).

That makes Kling O3 Std one of the most valuable tools currently in the pipeline.

  1. GPT Image 2 Became the Identity Tool

Episode 1 proved:

When character identity drifts:

GPT Image 2 is still the first choice.

:clapper: EPISODE 2 — MY EXPECTATIONS

Episode 1 was:
Proof of concept

Episode 2 becomes:
System execution

The biggest difference is that I now know:
• what works
• what doesn’t
• what costs money
• what wastes money
• what preserves identity
• what destroys identity

That knowledge is worth more than any tool.

Here are the results. Episode one complete.

NOT PERFECT, but good… very good. Episode 2 is in production now and will soon follow. AND… the results are already looking phenomenal…now that I know what I’m doing inside this awesome tool.

I’d love to hear the community’s thoughts on my work… Like I said, it’s not perfect… but it will be. Stay tuned for Episode 2.
