Puppet spider animation in CA5

Hi everyone. Is there a video or guide on how to animate the spider that comes with the puppet and path pack? Is it a spring motion or something? Thanks.

Hi…

The Puppet & Path pack contains a number of props like the spider as well as Motion Pilot and Motion Path animations.

To use the Motion Pilot animations you simply drag them into the viewport and onto your spider, and it will then open the Motion Pilot control panel. You can then Preview or Record the animation.

For the Motion Paths you can drag them onto your spider and then when you press Play on the Play Bar your spider will move along the set path.

Hi Pete.

Thank you for the feedback. I’ve now got a spider who moves along a path with spring motion legs. Unfortunately, no matter what settings I try he has jelly legs which bounce around and look nothing like a spider walking. I can see in the thumbnail for the puppet that you have managed to make it look realistic. Is there any more information on the spring settings or the particular motion pilot animation which was used to do this? Thank you.

Robert.

I noticed that the crab, while saying it has the crab walk animation when you plop him onto the stage, doesn’t do the crab walk.
Not only that, but I can’t find the crab walk animation anywhere in the files.
Edit: Never mind, I found that I have to click the mouse button.
