Well, I guess so. However, this is Redshift, not the “old” C4D render engines which have been more or less deprecated since Redshift has been included with C4D as standard.

I’m continuing my SkinGen pack series… This one, I should’ve made way earlier — it’s just so practical!
In most use cases, you really don’t need any polygons for this kind of detail!

Yes, in most use cases…

I can think of at least two cases when you do (which is OK by me, because I have the Ultimate Pantyhose pack):

  • If you want to animate the character taking them off
  • I regularly do “invisible people” renders (so basically animated, simulated clothes) and then I need the mesh, because the character itself (and her skin) is not rendered (the mesh just serves as a collider body for the clothes)

Absolutely, and I insist on the fact that since we are just on a texture, the toes are not “wrapped”, which means that we cannot use this principle of stockings only with shoes…
