No textures when importing FBX character in AccuRig

Hello.
I tried a lot of things to get the textures in AccuRig with “that type” of meshes (link below) but nothing works.

  • I followed the YouTube video " How To Fixed Missing Textures From Blender To AccuRig Issue" by exporting with “copy” and “Embedded textures”
  • I tried the solution given by Peter(RL) on the former forum here : “AccuRIG not displaying textures” which was :

    If the character is an FBX, it should work fine if the textures are embedded, but should also work if the textures are in an accompanying folder of the same name with an FBM extension.

    I exported from Blender with embedded textures and there is a FBM folder containing all textures.
    -I tried to copy all texture files in the folder with the FBX
    Nothing seems to work and I have to reapply all textures manually every time. Please note that with some others meshes, it worked
    -I tried to make the Meshes printable (no no-folding edges)

.dds texture is not supported by AccuRig app. You’d need to convert to Jpeg or Png

I was able to make it work by converting all my image textures in png, it’s quite long because just converting the image files in the .fbm folder or a textures folder doesn’t work, I had to convert all .dds files, open my character in Blender and reapply all textures with .png images to meshes before reexporting it in FBX with path mode “copy” and “embedded textures”.

You may batch convert images online. Some sites do it for free on others you need to subscribe.
