No custom AI Actors in 'History' after switching to new laptop.

I successfully reinstalled iClone and AI Studio onto a new laptop with full history of images and videos available.
But all my custom AI Actors are now missing.
I have the iMODEL files backed-up.
Anyone know how I can reinstate them?

Under normal circumstances, after syncing your local data, all your previously generated content—including Custom Actors and images used for AI Actors—should appear in your History.

However, if you moved your generated content out of the default directory (C:\Users\Public\Documents\Reallusion\Reallusion Custom\Media), the sync process may be incomplete. In this case, we recommend following these steps:

  1. Ensure that all generated files for your AI Actors are stored in the IModel folder.
  2. Make sure the IModel folder is placed in the designated path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Reallusion\Reallusion Custom\Media (this folder should be in the same directory as the Texture and Video folders).
  3. In AI Studio > Account Settings > Sync History, make sure the Local History Data Path is set to the default path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Reallusion\Reallusion Custom\Media.
  4. Click the Sync Local History button.
  5. Once the process is complete:
  • You will find the reference images used to generate your AI Actors under History > Image filter (since items are sorted chronologically, you may need to scroll down if you have generated many images).
  • You will find your existing AI Actors in any Actor column > Actor Library > My AI Actor.

If a “Sync Incomplete” dialog pops up, it means the system could not locate the files in the corresponding directory. If that happens, please let us know so we can help investigate further.

Thanks for the prompt response!
I have now tried changing and syncing the Local History Data Path to the default ‘c:\Users’ one rather than trying to save them on another drive.
Sync completed without any error reported. All history images still appear ok, but none of my previously created AI Actors have appeared, although I did move the iMODEL files into the ‘Media’ > ‘iModel’ directory.

I notice that the default path in your message is a little different to the actual path.

The actual path is:

c:\Users\ Public\ Public Documents\Reallusion\Reallusion Custom\Media\iModel

Although this probably doesn’t have any bearing on the issue.

Do you have any other suggestions I could try?

Note: I created a new AI Actor, but there has been no iMODEL file created locally that I can locate. Also, there is no ‘Find file’ option for the character shown in history.
Looks like all my created content is not stored locally, but I can download it.

Update - I have now ascertained that if custom AI Actors go missing you have to re-create them from your original images. You incur the same cost as you did the first time you created them.

iMODEL storage:
At present, when you create an AI Actor, the iMODEL file for that actor is not stored locally, and you do not have the option to download it. If it should disappear, you need to re-create it.
