I imported an animation clip for a non-human creature character. I reverse the clip. Now I cannot align the position of the root node of the clip in edit motion layer window. It slides from previous clip to new clip.
I am not sure why it’s not working for you. Try to follow precisely…
P.S. Do NOT use Align function for Creatures as it’s currently buggy!
It might or might not work, but it will break Move Gizmo and ability to move any avatar in the project with Transform to the point where you’d have to restart iClone.
Thank you for the video tutorial. It was very helpful. In my case it was not working as the tiger’s pivot is not moving with the mesh for that particular “Attack” motion. I can’t fix that pivot problem yet.
Yeah, that would make things a bit more complicated.
Still, fix the reversed clip as I recommended above and reapply.
Then sample the clip and open a Curve Editor.
Since the root is static, it is not a BoneRoot that is moving a tiger.
You have to find a bone which is moving it by Y. It’s going to be Y position for that bone.
Just delete that curve or manipulate/experiment with it. There are plenty of options here to move it…
Here is a dog which also did not have root moving (hip moves it instead).
