My characters bones are missing exporting to unreal engine 5

Hello reallusion.

My name is Larry.

This is the first time I’m posting anything on your forum.

I’ve been with reallusion since you guys started back when there was I clone one!!!.

I just bought iclone 8 and character creator 4
they are wonderful programs.

But there are some problems that i need to point out.
I would like to use the live link set up sending characters over to unreal engine 5.3 and 5.5
i use the auto setup program

The problem that I have is, when sending characters over to unreal for live link , the characters that i attempt to export over with an unreal format , I lose bones when they get to the other side.
and they will not perform with the live link.

But when I send them over using a motion builder format, or a unity format, I don’t lose my bones and they perform like they should. but i still have problems with the mats.

So i have 2 questions.
1.—, is there a way for me to replace the bones that are missing when I export from character creator for two unreal 5 or from I clone8.two unreal 5.

2.— is there some sort of update that will fix this problem when I have the missing bones ?
the models will not perform I need to be able to fix this problem, either way will solve it.
if you can tell me how I can fix the bones or copy bones or replace the bones in the unreal format that would be awesome.

Or if you have an update to fix this when you transfer your models from character creator4 two unreal engine 5 or from Iclone 8.
thank you in advance.

You’re a longggggggggggg time and I mean long time customer

Larry.

Thank you

What kind of Characters are you using?
CC3 Characters with the CC3 skeletons?
or
Custom Characters with their own skeleton ? ( imported to CC4/IC8 as humanoid )

I am using a stock CC3 character no garments no changes T pose, exporting with an unreal format going to unreal 5.3 or 5.5 when I get to the other side, there are bones missing every single time I’ve been doing this for three days and it has been consistent.

When I use emotion builder format, or a unity format, the bones are not missing but the materials are inconsistent.

So there’s definitely something going on with the program.

In fact it doesn’t matter which character I use, whether it is a CC3, or a CC3+, or a CC4, the results are the same, bones are missing on the skeleton mesh when I get to unreal 5.3 or 5.5 .
therefore everything is distorted when you try to use a live link.

That’s the problem that I’m having

Do you have a screenshot of your problem? It works fine for me in UE5.5.1 :

I get the extra bones in UE 5.5.1 just fine but how do you get the added bones from Blender into CC4 and keep the Facial Profile and CC4 animations intact?
