Motion Live crashing 8.6

Turns out the Motion LIVE plugin was crashing iClone during startup. I manually moved the entire MotionLIVE plugin folder out of:

Code

C:\Program Files\Reallusion\iClone 8\Bin64\Plugin

…and iClone launched instantly.

If you’re experiencing:

  • iClone 8.6 crashing silently on launch
  • No error logs or visible crash
  • It dies right after the splash screen or thumbnail preview

Try isolating Motion LIVE. You can move the plugin folder to your desktop temporarily and see if iClone opens cleanly.

I was rendering PNG sequences at 60 FPS just fine before this happened, and I didn’t want to roll back to 8.43 like support suggested. This fix let me keep working without compromising my pipeline.

Reallusion—please patch this. Motion LIVE shouldn’t take down the entire app if it’s misconfigured or mismatched.

I would be careful moving folders from their intended locations. It could make the situation worse. Instead consider reaching out to Reallusion Support or use the Feedback Tracker to get help.
