HI! I wanted to create custom assets for my library. I use CC5 for game ready characters so my workflow is to first create CC3+ char and then convert it to game base, optimizing other meshes and then export through fbx. It all worrks fine.
Same goes for applying clothes and other accessories between the two mesh generations. However recently when I tried to make some assets and then test them on each gen, it didnt work. I either got the app crash during “Converting” or I got a prompt window mentioned in the Manual regarding the Mix-dressing. I select the first option, it all converts but then I get an error message that says “Failed to load the file”. It happens interchangeably. When I try to put original GB asset on CC3+ it fails and vice versa. However I cant seem to find the reason why this happens cause I havent done anything different when creating some assets before and they work just fine.
I tried all the possible import/export ways within CC5 and Blender. I tried to replace mesh, I tried to create new accessory, I tried to export fbx natively through Blender, I tried to use the CC plugin export button for accesory etc. still the same issue.
My workflow for the assets is to Create new accessory, select the fbx, position it while my char is in bind pose, then adjust the char pose if needed. Then I transfer weights, choose the proper template, then conform the mesh or just set it to default and then I try to save it as custom asset. After that I try to test it on different mesh gen and the problem occurs. I tried searching everywhere but couldnt find anything that would actually help.
