Looking for ideas/content - Ninja or Magician Smoke Bomba

Hi all, I’m looking for a smoke bomba (apparently you cannot post the word bomba without the a) that a ninja or magician might disappear into, POOF! One character turns into another character.

I’ve played around with the available smoke/explosion particles but haven’t found or edited anything quite right. Just a small explosive (maybe a flash at the beginning) thick smoke cloud rising from the ground and dissipating within 1-2 seconds.

Ideas? Products? Legacy particles and Popcorn are both acceptable. Maybe a transparent video overlay? I’ve got to use numerous times in a scene so a little bit of variation would likely be a plus.

The thickest smoke is made with Popcorn Dry Ice (my favorite)
It’s a full featured FX with infinite possibilities for configuration.

Thanks for the replies fellas. This was the best I could do with the existing smoke particles that I have…

I will give that smoke cloud video a try PSD. It is very much what I’m looking for in terms of the timing and intensity of the cloud but may not effectively hide the character. Ill try to post the result if I can get anything out of it.

sorry for late response, fist time i see this post - usually it’s done in video editing with a chroma key plug in that makes the green / blue or whatever other specified color invisible. it’s relatively standard in most good modern videos - although i’m sure one day someone is going to reinvent it as the latest revolution in ai and charge for it like a monthly service lol
