Is there a file structure (template) for Affinity Designer rigging for CTA5 actors and animals that was generated since the pipeline for CVG was established this year. I’m working on animal but struggling to get bones , head, and RLImage working together. I got humans down pretty well, but now stuggling with 4 legged animal. I keep getting this message but all of these bones are in place.

I fixed the initial issue by adding missing sprite layers, but now I’m getting a message “This file is missing a layer on the face, please check this file.” I have layers Face: > Center:> and the vector image.
Hi…
Have you downloaded the PSD and SVG Resource and Template pack from your Reallusion Account > Registration page? These contain specific help for Affinity users and well worth a read through. You may find the answers you need there.
I tried those on-line templates but they don’t include a 4 legged animal but also they were made back in 2022 before Affinity Designer was integrated into CTA5 earlier this years. I didn’t have a lot of luck with those.
I must have had some mis-spelling or out of place layer I just couldn’t see. In the end I found a vector animal that was made for CTA5 in the last few months and used that as a template. I still can’t see what I missed, but everything is working now.
I have done several SVG humans and props. It was just this four legged beast that tripped me up.
Not sure if it helps, but I recently filmed this webinar for CTA5 on making four legged characters - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0GLGK5iidE&t=865s
Thanks Garry… I had seen that video before and thought about trying your earlier method but I’m getting fairly comfortable using Affinity Designer and exporting back to CTA5 so I’m not sure. I think in the end I must miss a colon on layer descriptions or misspelling or be doing something I just keep overlooking.
It took some adjusting to since “export” from Designer is different than Photo to CTA5 where you just “save” and don’t have to make sure the export path is correct. I also think I get mixed on proper words in the structure, but not certain. So, I’m not sure I know how to describe what I’m looking for, but I think it’s in understanding some of the hierarchy?
I got this to work by starting from scratch so I’m good for now. I tried so many things I sort of messed up the file. Bones were going off the screen. Now I’m on to figuring how to make an oblong wheel look like it’s turning but not wobbling. I’ve got some ideas. It’s for a story about taking old junk cars and turning into stock cars for racing.
