My feature-length animation film Khentopia will be shown at the Epic ACG Fest 2025 on Saturday October 25 at 1:40 PM. The festival venue is the SSV Auditorium, 1066 Linda Vista Ave, Mountain View, California.
I will be attending, so if you are in the neigborhood you could come and cheer me on. More about the festival at: https://eacgfest.org/Home.html.
The film was well-received and even won an award as Best Animated Feature. This was the first time the festival was back in San Francisco after sereal years, so it was relatively unknow and not very well attended. Nevertheless, it was time well spent. The film will be shown again in LA in June next year at a festival of the same organizer.
I like to share a watermarked version of the film for your enjoyment:
There is a password. It is the name of the protagonist in all caps (LHEANDOR).
As to the festival, there were a few feature films (besides mine, one from Iran and one from China) and quite a number of short films. The creators use many different techniques to make their films and that is one of the things that I like about animation. What is important in my opinion is that you have a story (eye candy gets boring after a while) and that you actually make the movie with whatever technique suits you. What is worse is not making your movie at all.
I regularly see posts lamenting the shortcomings of iClone and many are valid. However, I have learned to work around it and have been able to create films that are enjoyable for others. Winning an award is the cherry on the cake.
Absolutely brilliant. Anyone who doubts iClone can produce top quality animated films needs to watch this. Congratulations Job and thanks for sharing it with us.
