Hello, I’m trying to use the Motion Director keyboard controlled animating feature. I set it to keyboard controls, select my character and have him walk down a hallway in my scene and through a door. It looks perfect while i’m recording, but once i’m done and either preview it or save it to my timeline, the characters movements are all misaligned and by halfway through the recording it is offset , and he walks through a wall. This happens about 60% of the time, Is this a common issue and is there a way to prevent it from happening?
yeah I’m probably doing something wrong, but I find it very difficult to control, even with a gamepad. I set them on a path and they still wander and then keep stopping and doing random things like pulling out a phone or something even when I tell it not to do any idle motions in the middle.
And then like you said even if you get the preview right, when I record the motion I had my character climbing up over tables and chairs. And they keep inheriting cigarettes and phones. I have to keep deleting them off and then they appear again…
It’s a good idea in theory but doesn’t work well - not for me anyway. I’ve returned to more traditional methods.
Hi… If the issue is happening 100% of the time, please can you report it in the Feedback Tracker and include the steps to reproduce the issue. The dev team will then investigate and get back to you with a solution or news of a fix.
