Hello, I just installed CC5. But it seems all my previously purchased and installed CC4 content needs to be redownloaded, even though they seem technically already on my disk. Is there any way to just restore them right away into CC5?
If the files are already on your system it should be quite fast as it’s just updating the CC5 database. But I agree, it would be helpful to have a quicker method.
It is taking several minutes to install each package that was already installed in CC4. I haven’t timed it, but I am guessing at over 10 minutes per package. The new ones are going faster than the ones that were installed in CC4. And it crashed, and it hangs - even the music I am playing hangs sometimes.
The items that were marked Hidden Content in CC4, I am having to mark as hidden again.
Someone fit in programming should create a tool to make a short an pleasant experience out of installing your items or even run it over night. Its really a mess to do it the required way.
On a slow broadband conection it has taken an age to download CC5 and my new content packs. (Not to mention the huge files needed for the AI plug in to function).
I now have IC7, IC8 and CC3 and CC4 installed on my current computer as well as the new CC5.
I am horrified that it seems I have to download my past purchased content again to use in CC5.
Really do need a simple work flow to transfer all my past content to CC5, that doesn`t involve re-downloading, so that I can uninstal CC3 and CC4 to free up some space.
Come on RL, the new versions and upgrades are great but take pity on your long term customers. I must have almost 20 years of RL Iclone (from V2 onward) content and later from when CC first arrived. I want it all to be easily accesible in my latest versions IC8 and CC5.
Please make smart manager work for people like me who have slow internet and who aren`t very smart.
CTRL is stupid. We have purchased nearly 100 packs over the years. Your tip saves us a few seconds in a HOURS long process. why can’t I select all my files and download them? Why doesn’t cc5 use the same content folders as cc4?
