Importing MPEG4 / AVI Video Into CTA / K-Lite Codec Workaround?

I’ve heard that there are issues with importing MPEG4/AVI video format files into CTA…

And that the workaround involves installing K-Lite Codec Pack 1875_Standard, correct?

Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

I would simply re-encode the video to a standard mp4 codec with a free video converter like Xmedia Recode. I wouldn’t use codec packs.

Thanks, I’ll check out that program.

Though if CTA has a problem importing MP4 video formats–and Xmedia just converts video formats to MP4–then I don’t see its usefulness…

Or am I missing something?

TY

You can also try wvm format as RL apps seem to like that more. I use it for iclone.

Thanks - I’ll keep that in mind.

The Codec pack fixed everything for me and I havent had an issue importing MP4 files for years.

Good to know, thanks.

We have no consensus on that Codec Pack - but all replies here
have merit.

I use uncompressed avi. Its the best quality, and despite the big file size, CTA can handle it just fine
