I’ve assigned weight painting to a clothing item in Blender 4.5 and now I want to import the result into my CC5 scene using the Plugins>Blender Pipeline>Import Character from Blender menu, as described in Reallusion’s tutorial here: https://youtu.be/kPtZ_ys_bcE?si=ueqPfgmLxqcjhUVz&t=270.
However, the video skips over what seems to be a crucial step, where it looks like suddenly the clothing/accessory item is no longer parented to the original character and is structured in Blender as a new character (in this example, “Shoes”).
When I try to replicate this, something happens to my textures for the entire project. After clicking the Export to CC3/4 button in CC/iC Pipeline (v2.4.0), my textures in Blender all turn magenta (assume this means the links are broken), and when I import the character into CC5, the mesh (with clothing) does load into the scene but all the textures are missing.
So, what is the correct procedure for preparing the character for export from Blender after weight painting clothing items – the part the video skipped over, essentially?

I followed the same workflow shown in the YouTube tutorial and did a quick test:
CC export FBX with calibration animation → import FBX into Blender (via Auto Setup) → import the cloth file → bind the cloth skin weights to the skeleton → export FBX (via Auto Setup) → import back into CC (via Auto Setup).
I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue on my side. I’ve attached a video of my process for reference. If your workflow differs from mine, or if you’re following the same steps but still not getting the correct result, please let me know. If possible, it would also be helpful if you could share a video of your workflow. Thank you!

(Please excuse the rough skin weights in my example. I didn’t spend much time refining them and simply used Auto Weight to verify that the workflow itself works correctly.)

I figured it out, thanks to you! Having watched your recording very closely, I observed that when you exported your character from Blender you did so within the exact same folder path. In my case, I exported to a different folder. For whatever reason, when you export to a different folder, you apparently have to check the “Include textures” option in the export dialogue. Once I did that everything carried over and imported perfectly into CC5.
Sincere thanks to you @EmmaHuang_RL for taking the time and care to reply and for providing that super helpful recording – you’re a rockstar!!
