There is a significant detail or instruction I’m either glossing over or it just has not been explained in videos and forums. I’m using prefab textures and materials.
in the first image the head is just a pure 1 slot texture and material photogrammetry pumpkin, while the body is the full color. roughness, slots etc. I have also changed the color in the nodes
What was done to get the pumpkin in blender to be 1 slot and what makes cc4 recognize it automatically for slotting in as opposed to the body?
Let me understand. You bake a procedural material into a texture in Blender and export to CC, but baked texture does not look the same after the export? Then it’s a Blender issue, or rather how it bakes complex node based materials sometimes.
But regardless, it happens a lot in my personal experience and I always handle it on CC/IC end.
That is checking and assigning a different value to Diffuse Color.
Then there is a lot you can do to change texture appearance by simply using Adjust Color control for specific texture.
Sometimes I need to tweak texture properties in UV section (tile it, offset, rotate… etc).
Use external editor… etc…
