iClone - Audio file waveform

Hi,

I used the special Mocap promotion to generate lots of different dancing motions. However, I couldn’t find a way to display the waveform of the imported audio file to precisely match/adjust the speed of the generated motion to the beats (and cue events), as you get when importing speech. Is there a way to do that?

Update: I found a workaround for adjusting the speed (using beatdetection in Virtual DJ, which shows you the beatdifference not only in bpm, but also with a percentage value, so that is precise enough when using “set speed”), but I would still prefer to see the waveform, if there is such an option. Thanks.

You can add the song to a character → Create Script ->Audio File and the waveform will show up under their viseme track.

Great, that did the trick, I assumed it would confuse it, since there are no vocals on that track - sometimes the easiest solutions just escape me

Thank you very much, now I can focus on cleaning up the mocap data, which thankfully isn’t as much as I feared, despite the large volume of what I generated, only very few and very fast movements confused the AI every now and then.

Sounds like my snowy sunday IClone tasks are very similar to yours. Good luck.
