iClone 8.65 is Now Released - Enhanced Unreal Workflow, AccuPOSE Major Updates, and bugs fixes

iClone 8.65 delivers a smoother, more reliable production workflow with improvements across performance, loading, rendering, and pipeline export. This update enhances Unreal and FBX transfer stability (including smarter skeleton handling and multiple export fixes), resolves a wide range of issues in Timeline, LipSync, USD import, and content compatibility, and improves overall usability (layout saving, fewer activation errors). It also introduces support for subscription licensing, and updates AccuPOSE INFINITY by moving to a perpetual license and adding new packs, including a new Cartoon set plus Action/Adventure and Combat additions.

General

  • Support for subscription-based licensing.

  • DA Points refresh: DA points can now be refreshed from the top-right corner of iClone to reflect the latest balance.

Performance

  • Progressive texture loading: Maximum value increased to 100% (default value remains unchanged).

Export FBX

  • Exporting certain characters with missing key humanoid bones using the Unreal (UE5 Skeleton) preset now triggers an error message and automatically switches the export to the Unreal UE4 Skeleton preset.

Load File

  • Applying Individual (Flatten) Wrinkles now triggers a dialog reminding users that Individualized Wrinkles are designed for specific characters with fixed skin tones, and includes a link to a tutorial.

Render

  • Loading certain projects with Blur or Lens Blur post effects enabled now triggers a warning that the final render may appear darker than usual.

  • Fixed error message upon activating Help > Activate Entire Library.

  • Fixed Save Layout not storing the current toolbar state (previously reset every launch).

Video Mocap

  • Video Mocap now automatically appears in the toolbar after installation, and iClone launches in full-screen mode by default.

Load File

  • Fixed applying certain content packs (e.g., Combo Mouth Shape for Chinese and Japanese) triggering “Can’t load invalid data.” and rendering the pack unusable.

  • Fixed being unable to apply certain saved characters (including those saved within a project) due to irregular texture data triggering a “Failed to load” message.

Export FBX

  • Fixed abnormal rendering of hair for characters exported to Blender via Auto Setup.

  • Fixed three sets of repeating morphs (including faulty ones) appearing on certain characters exported with the UE preset when Mouth Open as Morph is enabled.

  • Fixed wrinkle texture maps reaching 8K resolution under 8K texture export settings when such high resolution is unnecessary.

  • Fixed inability to disable Advanced Settings > A-Pose for UEFN when exporting props to Unreal.

  • Fixed Tear Ducts UV Adjustment behavior when exporting a character with Target Preset set to Maya.

  • Fixed inability to disable Embed Textures when exporting a character with Target Tool Preset set to Marmoset Toolbag.

  • Fixed abnormal collision shapes on certain characters (e.g., embedded CC3+ Baby) when transferred to Unreal via Auto Setup.

Import USD

  • Fixed importing a USD file via Plugins > Omniverse > Import USD creating an additional layer of sub-props in the Scene Manager.

Timeline

  • Fixed inability to set the first default key for the morph track causing morph animation to disappear.

  • Fixed linked morph keys not being deleted together when one morph key is removed from the Timeline.

  • Fixed child morphs not moving along with parent morphs.

  • Fixed applying a Transition Curve Preset not highlighting the applied preset in the Transition Curve Presets panel.

  • Fixed Expression Clips with adjusted speed (via Timeline > Expression > Set Speed) being saved as iTalk files but reverting to 100% speed when reloaded.

LipSync

  • Fixed Create Script TTS not driving lip animation on characters re-imported from edited FBX files using Mesh and Expression Sequence.

Unreal Live Link

  • When transferring certain humanoid characters that lack key bones to Unreal using the UE5 Skeleton option, the UE4 Skeleton Preset is automatically selected, and a message is displayed.

:wrench: Fixed:

  • Fixed potential waist distortion and animation loss (except positioning) after using Optimize and Decimate to create a LOD character when Live Linked in Unreal with link activated.

  • Fixed some props (e.g., embedded Cat) importing into Unreal with incorrect orientation and appearing offset from the floor.

  • Fixed morph slider adjustments having no effect on characters transferred to Unreal via Live Link when link is activated.


AccuPOSE INFINITY

  • AccuPOSE INFINITY now includes the following new packs:
